History
In 1977, Bobby Joslin began helping his grandfather change out parking lot lights at downtown Nashville car dealerships. Eventually, they began asking if he could fix their signage as well…and the rest is history. As demand grew and his customer base expanded, what began as a simple one-truck repair service evolved into one of the largest custom sign shops in Middle Tennessee.
Bobby Joslin’s loyalty and passion for his hometown is unmatched. He remains intentionally involved in the community, voicing his concerns and banding together with other local businesses to improve and innovate Nashville.
Joslin’s customers are friends, neighbors, and fellow Nashvillians, among corporate clientele across the country. We make it our mission to collaborate with our customers, sharing the sign making experience and cultivating lasting relationships. These connections are, after all, what life is all about. Our Process
Get to Know You
When you approach us with your idea, we connect you with an experienced, knowledgeable Project Manager, who gathers all the necessary information to materialize your sign.
Creative
Your idea can now be turned into a work of art by our talented Creative Design Team! This usually takes 2 – 3 business days. Next, you and your Project Manager team up to approve or revise the Creative Team’s renderings of your new sign! Once you have approved a drawing that is perfect for you, we can begin the permitting process.
Permitting
A 50% down payment is required before we seek permits for your sign. Our municipal liaison handles permit applications and gathers all approvals necessary to certify your sign meets the legal requirements. This typically takes 7-10 business days, unless excess approval is required. Once we have your permit in-hand, your order is submitted to scheduling for production!
Manufacturing
Your sign is passed through the hands of over a dozen skilled sign crafters who take exceptional pride in their work. please allow 6-8 weeks for this process to be completed.
Installation
Once your sign is complete, the installation department and your project manager work cohesively to schedule the perfect time to install your new sign in Nashville, TN!
